ABOUT YOUR PEST CONTROL
Communication is KEY to a great customer experience. We have found over the years that most consumers are not aware of how the process of pest control actually works. If we base our expectations on what we are taught through television commercials and glossy advertisements we are going to expect a pest control spray to immediately kill all of our bugs. While there are some point-and-shoot products out there, these products only kill the bugs they come into direct contact with. And this is fine if you are only interested in killing one pesky roach but, unfortunately there may be an entire colony left untouched, living in your walls.
The residual products used by professionals are designed to achieve complete colony elimination. Sounds great, doesn't it? But... in order for these chemicals work so effectively and spread throughout the colony we need to keep the bugs alive longer. This is so that they can return to their home base and pass the chemical on to other bugs. As the chemical is spread, the colony is slowly killed off.
This means that every single bug needs to come into contact with the chemical one way or the other- either by walking through the spray or coming into contact with another bug who has.
Some bugs such as fleas and German roaches have life cycles that require more frequent, timed sprays. For example, flea eggs are impermeable by the chemical, so we must wait approximately 14 and 28 days after the initial spray to follow-up. This allows the larvae to hatch, breaking the lifecycle and stopping the reproduction of your pests.
As you can see, pest control is a science and having a company that knows how to treat your bug problems properly will save you time and money!
Call our Clearwater pest control company today! When you talk to our office staff, please take the time to throughly explain your pest control needs, as many different bugs require specialized treatment.
